Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone. To many people this is a happy time of the year, to be with your family. It's not all about presents, although society has over-comercialized it so much. I hope everyone gets into the true spirit of Christmas.

I just sat in on the Pagans Tonight Blogtalkradio Yule ritual. I caught it halfway though, but will catch it later in the archives. In the chat room I mentioned that since I was on the other side of the world in Kuwait it was hard to catch them live and Reverand Don actually replied on the air. Wow, a first for me, but I can rarely catch them live.
A Facebook post from "The Galactic Federation of Light":
It does not matter what spiritual path you follow. All aths lead to the same destination. Any path that helps you move from judgement to tolerance to acceptance is a great path. On the contrary, any path that breeds intolerance, judgement and encourages non acceptance, is by it's very nature, misaligned with what is actual and factual spiritual goals and only aligned by fear-produced fallacies and judgements of the ego. This book is by Phoenix. It is very well written and makes you think. I very much agree with the concept of the book.
Anyone who believes in the equality of all people, regardless of race, creed or religion would like this book. I like how The author combined sci-fi and historical fiction in the telling of this story. I was just reading my facebook newsfeed and saw a quote that I really liked. It is from 1000 awesome heart touching picures of people, thing, animal and places.

I hope everyone has a good holiday season.
I am getting so disillusioned with society and the government lately. I just want to buy me some land that is out of the way and go off the grid. I know it will be a gradual process considering that I have a husband and son as well. They probably wouldn't be happy about it because they love being on the X-box or computer and with a little planning they wouldn't have to leave it behind.
My plan right now is to:
I know it will be hard to start with, but I am sick and tired of living in a crowded community and having to follow ridiculous rules, many that don't even make sense or aren't need if you even have a little common sense. I have recently rekindled my interest in this topic. I helped a co-worker from Idaho buy a Back to Basics book from Amazon.com and we have been pouring over it when we are not busy at work. Another co-worker has a similar interest, but his leans more towards the survivalist than a homesteader lifestyle.
Some of the subjects that have been coming up are:

Whenever new subjects or expansions on these subjects come up I will update this post or add a This is a cool site, clean and not very complicated. I just wish that it had a few more options to customize it.

MelissaI have always loved nature. When I was younger in a small town in NE Washington. In the summer or anytime that I felt like it, I was always hiking up and down the hills along the Coulee Wall (canyon). Archives
